The past fifteen years at St. Croix Chocolate Company have been rich with wonderful friendships, fantastic customers and of course — so, so much chocolate!

Through years of creativity and growth, you — our customers, along with our dedicated team — have become our "chocolate family." We can't begin to thank everyone for all the ways you have supported us, but we feel your love every day, and we love you all right back!

  • Ok….behind the times n news…
Turtles, assortment boxes, pumpkins at Halloween….stopping on way by because YOU ARE THE BEST! Fond memories of so many delicious bites. Though only a frequent customer, I evangelized many to your perfection. Thank You! Best wishes for future challenges! Benny

  • Hi Robyn and Deidre!! I am your Texas cousin (we all met when I accompanied Jean on a reunion trip years ago). I’ve been following your successes (and every now and then sharing your chocolate treasures with other family and friends).
It’s been so wonderful to see your successes (and frankly, I’ve bragged about you and your achievements – I’ve undeservedly kind of basked indirectly in your glow)! I am absolutely so proud of everything you both have done!!
I have conflicting emotions as I read about the sale of St. Croix Chocolates – delight in your successes and now in being able to move on to new dreams and adventures, and sadness as I know I won’t be able to order your exquisite and extraordinary chocolates any more. I do have the hope that I will do a better at staying in touch!
May your “retirement” be everything you want it to be!! (I put retirement in quotes, because I suspect the pace may slow a bit, but you will be into new and wonderful things you want to do.)
My heartfelt congratulations and love to you both!!

  • I was fortunate enough to be adopted by the Dochterman family 45 years ago and Robyn was my little sister. Smart, motivated, curious and headed for big things. To become a master chocolatier, create a successful business of imaginative tastes and designs …your short stories in chocolate, your parents are so proud of you and Deidre. I wish you good health and a wonderful life at a slower pace. Enjoy life!

  • Congratulations to both of you. For years, your business has been a place my friend Maryanne and I have patronized on our annual fall color trip “up north” We’ve loved your chocolates EVERY TIME……. Except for the one time we forgot to check your business hours and arrived on a weekday when you weren’t open. Believe me when I tell you ever since, we DOUBLE CHECKED your business hours when we planned our annual fall color day trip! 😎 That particular day trip was not nearly as enjoyable! Best wishes. • All the memories from my trips to SCC will forever remind me of good times and good friends. Early visits with my mother and watching the joy a piece of chocolate could bring to her face. No trip to Minnesota is ever complete for out-of-state friends and family without a trip to St. Croix chocolate. My expectations for the new owner are high, my expectations for the retiring owners is that you will enjoy your days ahead. Your shop and it’s exquisite chocolates will forever be treasured memories.

  • So many years of always amazing chocolate! Passion fruit, lemon espresso, salted caramel, peanut butter, lively lemon, stout and sour cherry, so many beautiful easter eggs, carmelized white chocolate bunnies… way too many fantastic truffles to name. Your chocolates have brought years of pleasure to me and my family and friends. Thank you!

My family used to give your four piece boxes as teacher gifts and consistently heard that the chocolates never made it out of the building.

A friend has two grown boys, both hard-core foodies. One was hesitating over which chocolate to choose and the other remarked," Just pick one, they’re all great", so very true.

The chocolate shop may go on but it will never be the same without you both. You combined supreme artistry with the most wonderful hospitality and friendship for an unforgettable experience. I am going to miss you.

  • Your chocolates hold a very special place in my heart as one of my late mother’s favorite treats. On so many errands, we would stop by with the hope of finding Key Lime or Sea Salt Caramel—her absolute favorites. – My mom was always thinking of others, and your chocolates were often part of the joy she shared with friends and family. She even started the tradition of advent calendars in our home, something I still look forward to each year. – I want to thank you for being part of these memories. Your shop is woven into the love, traditions, and moments I’ll always carry of my mom. For that, I am deeply grateful.

  • Thank you for all that you’ve given me in my time under your employment. You’ve changed me in irreversible ways, and gave me the confidence in my skills necessary to chase my own dreams. Enjoy your well deserved change of pace! Love you guys!
